Nestled along the Alaska Highway in Northern BC, Liard River Hot Springs and Muncho Lake Provincial Parks offer two of the region's most spectacular natural wonders. Liard River features Canada's second-largest hot springs, where tropical plants thrive in a unique warm-water ecosystem despite the subarctic setting. An hour away, Muncho Lake dazzles visitors with its striking turquoise waters, created by copper oxide from surrounding limestone mountains. The lake stretches 12 kilometers, bordered by dramatic 2,000-meter peaks where wildlife like Stone sheep, mountain goats, and moose roam freely. Both parks are essential stops for Alaska Highway travelers.
